Our Story

How It Started
Once upon a time, a long, long time ago (stay with me), I would help my husband kick-off his birthday by bringing him a cup of real-deal — not brewed at home — coffee. What made it special wasn’t the caffeine; it was the balloon doodle and little message I scribbled on the side.
From that small tradition and years of thinking about how something ordinary could become extraordinary, grew CuffNotes: coffee cuffs that act like greeting cards, only smaller, more hip, and way less likely to end up stuffed in a junk drawer.
With the help of my three sons, who have provided the original artwork (officially making this a family business), we've developed a simple way to make the connection over coffee more sacred. Printed right here in North Carolina, each cuff comes with space to write your own note and a chance to say, “I’m thinking of you,” “You’ve got this,” or even just “Happy Birthday.”

And, that’s how CuffNotes began — with a cup of coffee, a spark of kindness, and a mom-and-sons creative team that believes in the fact that small gestures can have a big impact.
